Sammy Patterson Video Playback Operator
Sammy Patterson began her career working with 35mm projection and dailies playback at Pinewood Studios, later managing their screening services across a wide range of content. Moving into video playback, she has built a strong technical foundation and a clear understanding for the importance of accurate, dependable monitoring is for directors, DOPs and all on-set departments.
Recognised for her calm adaptable presence, Sammy values collaboration and clear communication. She takes pride in supporting productions with reliability and attention to detail, and looks forward to contributing her skills across a variety of cameras, workflows and formats. Over the past five years, Sammy has established herself as a highly capable Video Assistant on productions such as The Buccaneers, This Town, Better Things (Season 5), and numerous other projects. More recently, she has begun accruing Video Operator credits on titles including Dear England and A Very Royal Scandal.
Joining Digital Orchard marks the next step in refining her Q-Take expertise and expanding her career as a Video Playback Operator, with the aim of operating independently on high-end drama and feature productions. While committed to progressing as a sole operator, Sammy also values the dynamics of a collaborative team environment and would welcome supporting productions as a Video Assistant on MMP and HETV projects to broaden her experience on major film sets.
