Jake Ward Monsen Trainee
Jake began studying film, video and photography full-time in a London college where in 2021, at the age of 17, he alongside a few peers created a 24-minute documentary for London Live. The documentary titled ‘John Kent: Lambeth Boy Forever!’, is a revisit into the classic 1958 documentary ‘We Are the Lambeth Boys’’, surrounding a youth club in Lambeth still operating to this day and an interview with one of the original cast. The documentary was then broadcast on London Live in March 2023.
Continuing this momentum into University, Jake was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Film and Television Production at the University of York in 2025, where he advanced his experience working with Sony and Arri cameras, and in post-production practicing Avid and Premiere pro. After his graduation, he immediately jumped into working on set as a Location Marshal on several HETV and Film productions, but was eager to take on more responsibility in a DIT role. Outside of work, Jake is passionate about travelling and tries to work any trip around Europe he can into his free time. He also enjoys concerts, record collecting and is excited to be a part of the Digital Orchard team!
