In 2019, Sophie graduated with a First Class degree in Filmmaking, specialising in editing, from the University of the West of England. Since then, Sophie has been exploring her love of the film craft by cutting short films, BTS and other short-form projects. Executing high-res workflows on these smaller projects sparked a keen interest in all things data management. After her first gig as data wrangler on a feature film, followed by a commercial, Sophie found the combination of on-set work and data management was a good fit for her interest in both post-production and her desire to learn more about image capture. After attending a short course on the role of DIT, Sophie’s curiosity in the role led her to her first job as DIT Trainee on a high-end feature film. Loving the energy and excitement of set, as well as her interest in efficient workflows, she is excited to keep building on a set of skills that can be utilised for both set-work and editorial.
