The best person for the job. When the cameras start rolling, you can be confident that the right people are in place. From essential data backup to advanced colour correcting, our technicians work with the camera department, to get the results you need.
Digital Imaging Technicians
DITs are there to assist the Director of Photography by giving technical advice on file formats, ratios, exposure, QC, image workflows and colour pipelines. They are versatile and knowledgeable individuals who will adjust and flex to suit the requirements of your production.
Data Managers
Data Managers ensure the safe and efficient backup of the original camera and sound files, liaising with Dailies Labs and the Editorial Team, to organise clearance for camera cards to be wiped. They can also assist the DIT with tasks such as applying CDLs and LUTs to maintain the colour pipeline, entering metadata, and transcoding proxies for delivery to Editorial. They are essential on productions with more data or a more complex workflow, freeing up the DIT to do tasks such as managing exposure, live grading, and QC.
Video Operators
Video Operators record what’s being shot by the camera so that takes can be quickly reviewed by the Director or other crew members via industry leading video assist system, QTAKE. They also look after monitors, manage wireless systems, and stream camera footage to clients on and off-set. They can also help to pre-visualise VFX for quick evaluation on set using a variety of compositing tools built directly into QTAKE.
Video Assistant
Video Assistants work alongside the Video Operator to ensure larger or more complex productions run smoothly. They are essential for productions with several monitors, multiple set moves, complex wireless systems, tricky locations, and remote streaming requirements. They are a key component if you want quick setup and to shoot more each day.
