Trinity 2 Rig

This week we've taken delivery of many exciting boxes of shiny new things to our Digital Orchard kit room, and it isn't even Christmas yet. Yet it’s exactly what we wished for, as Digital Orchard is now in possession of a Trinity 2 Rig - the world’s most advanced hybrid camera stabiliser; as part of our Orchard Rental collection

A New Rental Offering

The first of several planned purchases focused on camera systems/ camera department needs, the Trinity 2 features enhance an operator’s control, flexibility, and creativity on set. Its available now via Digital Orchard’s Orchard Rental to experienced and interested operators

As the world's most advanced camera stabiliser, Trinity 2 combines mechanical and electronic stabilisation to deliver unmatched fluidity and precision in every shot! Its versatile movement capabilities, five-axis control, and support for telephoto lenses make it the best choice for capturing dynamic, cinematic footage.

Why use a Trinity 2 Rig

Its just better. The rig opens up new perspectives for operators and enhances storytelling options for directors and cinematographers. The joystick-controlled tilt axis, fully stabilised, allows for seamless transitions between low angles and over-the-shoulder shots.

By inverting the post, the camera can shift from low mode to high mode mid-shot. Additionally, by holding the post at 45 degrees and rotating it left or right, the camera can smoothly look around corners, whether in high or low mode.

Added stabilisation in the roll axis also allows for the use of telephoto lenses. When Trinity is in fully stabilised mode, it unlocks a wide range of new shots, angles, and movements. For a more traditional style of operation, Trinity 2 can be switched to a locked mode, where the tilt axis is directly connected to the post, functioning in a conventional manner.
