We are proud to announce that Olivia Fitzsimons has been appointed as Commercial Director of Digital Orchard Group 🎉
After five years of integral contributions to our Orchard Onset department, Olivia has been instrumental in driving success across teams, whether navigating complex negotiations or providing invaluable guidance to crew, her efforts have been central to our recent wins and growth.
Olivia most recently led the Orchard Onset department as Head of Bookings, overseeing a diverse network of more than 60 freelance Digital Imaging Technicians, Data Managers, and Video Playback Operators; connecting productions with the right technical talent. Known for her reliability, enthusiasm, and collaborative approach, she has become a trusted figure both within the company and across the wider industry. In 2024, Olivia launched Digital Orchard's Access: Trainee Scheme, an initiative dedicated to training the next generation of DITs and Video Playback Operators, while fostering greater accessibility and inclusion within the industry.
👉 In her new role as Commercial Director, Olivia will continue working closely with onset teams while taking on a broader strategic focus. She will lead our overall growth strategy, by aligning sales, marketing, and business development teams, representing us at industry events and showcasing our innovative services.
Commenting on her appointment, Olivia said: ‘I’m incredibly proud to be stepping into this new role. Over the past few years, I’ve built strong partnerships with production teams, implementing efficient, budget-conscious on-set workflows while overseeing Orchard Onset’s talent agency. This has involved aligning specialist skill sets with production and cinematographer's needs, and positioning our technical talent strategically within the wider market’.
