Iain Thomson Digital Imaging Technician
Benefiting from FT2’s Camera Trainee scheme in 2009, Iain began his career in the camera department with film and digital formats on features and television drama. Gradually working as an NVQ recognised 2nd AC, he swayed towards the DIT role by assisting DITs on blockbusters Avengers: Age of Ultron, Spectre & Star Wars: Rogue One.
Learning under the helm of international Cinematographers like Janusz Kaminski (BFG), Hoyte Van Hoytema (Spectre) & John Mathieson (Man from Uncle), Iain stepped up to DIT on hit Netflix show Marco Polo, with Vanja Cernjul ASC collecting an award for cinematography.
Iain is skilled in both data management & onset colour and has carried both these skills further since joining Digital Orchard, evident on recent productions Doctor Strange, The Mummy & Thor: Ragnarok.
